Sacred Journey Inward

MAuI

Two weeks ago I made it to Maui, Hawaii, with my two kiddos. I needed the break. It is a working vacation. After being home for months on end in North Carolina I really needed the sun. I needed the change of scenery. One of my closest friends has been here since February

Maui is lovely. There is a sense of origin here, especially in the parts untouched by humans. And there is a lot of it in such a small space. I’ve felt this before in Ireland and The Sacred Valley in Peru. It is an ancestral playground. It is ancient and everywhere you look the earth shows off its magnificent art work. Many years ago I went to Oahu and I did not feel the energy that I embody in my cells here. It’s vibrating gently. Very rarely do I feel such a connection to the other realms in a way that feels like I’m being kissed instead of bombarded. For an empath that is pure relief. The earth meets the water here which meets the sky without borders or rough edges. It’s truly magical. From the distance it feels like it all just meshes into each other without distinguished lines of any kind. The mountains participate, adding just enough contrast of color to fall into the ocean as well. All the explosions from volcanic release feels really grounding. Intensely satisfying! There is a chilled essence to it all. It’s absolutely delicious. And so, like all places that I’ve visited, I learn something deeply interesting about myself: I am made of all and of nothing. It all connects to each of us. Every place and person and action. We melt into one another. The things that separate us are truly man made. It’s when we allow for what is to be that we return what we have always been.
