The Lamp Inside
Many years ago, in the midst of huge life changes that I thought I would not survive, I was inspired by Scripture to write this poem. I found it today...not by mistake. The Universe/Source/God/Spirit does not make mistakes. Synchronicity has been very present lately. May it help you find your own light. You are the light of the world. And, together we guide one another. In our weakest moments we find hope and grace holding us up. In the moments of precious joy we find the light of the world reflecting through the eyes of the Divine. Let's hang on to that! The Lamp InsideWe flicker on and offfrom inside outas the very coreand complete essenceof guidance and spirit. We wait for othersto find the switchexpecting them tosee our truthand place our worthlike a price tag on an item.Light attracts all lightlike a magnetwaiting to cling onto another. It is the rhythm of each beingas the soul searches for answersinto the unknown. Whenever we let goof all fallacies, expectations, anticipations, and control…heaviness disappearsand we are leftwith the vastness of love.We become full.We encase compassion. We embody grace. We embrace unconditional love.We are what lives without egoas we surrender to ourselvesand…the light that leads us through lifeas Divinity.(Inspired by Luke 11:33-36)"No one lights a lamp, then hides it in a drawer. It's put on a lamp stand so those entering the room have light to see where they're going. Your eye is a lamp, lighting up your whole body. If you live wide-eyed in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light....Keep your eyes open, your lamp burning, so you don't get musty and murky. Keep your life as well lighted as your best-lighted room." - Luke 11:33-36
